Level 2 Apprentice

This is an amazing opportunity for someone who has a passion for hairdressing and wanting to develop their creative side. The apprentice will receive training both in the salon and one day a week at Terence Paul training academy.

The Level 2 apprentice will learn all the practical skills and communication skills related to the profession of hairdressing. Working to the best of their ability to get good results, develop good relationships with clients, be aware of the changing new looks and fashion trends. A hairdressing career is very rewarding and opens a lot of opportunities for future career progressions in various directions.

Responsible for: Providing Hairdressing services to customers

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Meet and greet clients. Ensure all clients are offered coffee/tea, magazines to ensure client comfort
  2. Shampooing and conditioning clients, Hair treatments and rinsing off colours
  3. Practical skills such as blow drying, eventually colouring, foils and cutting will be incorporated into the training sessions
  4. To ensure that salon cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the day to ensure the salon is always welcoming
  5. Assist the stylists on the salon floor
  6. Reception duties including answering the phone and making client appointments
  7. Be aware of changing fashion trends, new looks and popular products
  8. To advise clients on all products and treatments the salon can offer
  9. To adopt and maintain a positive and friendly attitude and to behave in a professional manner at all times
  10. With regard to dress, hairstyles, make-up and personal hygiene. This should be maintained at all times and in keeping with the standards set by the salon

Standard Responsibilities

In addition to the above job specification canditates will be required to accept our general staff responsibilities outlined below.

  1. Adhere to Health and Safety regulations by using safe work practices.
  2. Be punctual at all times.
  3. Attend all team meetings as required.
  4. Inform a Manager of any medical conditions or behaviour from clients that is unusual or causes concern.
  5. Follow the companies’ sickness and absence procedure.
  6. Assist in the cleaning and tidying of the hair salon including laundry runs etc.
  7. Report any incidents, accidents or any guest dissatisfaction to the Manager promptly.
  8. Undertake any other reasonable duties delegated by the Manager

Special Note: Recommend a stylist scheme – earn £250 for every stylist you recommend.
